The Attachment Water Bottle

The Attachment Water Bottle Interactive Experience is a psychological analysis of my companionship with my water bottle. I used this object as the subject to analyze the four different type of attachment styles in a playful way.
I was assigned to create a book that focused on any topic of my choosing. I chose to look at my relationship with my water bottle through a psychological perspective.
goal
Understanding my outcome was my biggest challenge. I dove into researching attachment styles and this was the driving force of my project. I wanted to balance the scientific language with playful visuals which I then hand drew the font to give the book a human hand feeling to the text.

Creating an “interactive, educational experience” meant developing elements that the user could cut out and use their hands for. At the end of the book there was a cut out sticker sheet that had the same stickers on my water bottle meant to decorate the cutout water bottle. This process of creating this book taught me the importance of storytelling through many intricacies. Choosing the font, the color pallet, and the decision to place everything in a box all created a more meaningful experience for the users to engage with on a psychological level.
